Lot Essay

Presently offered is a triple calendar with moon phases by Blancpain from the late 1980s. It features the JB logo on the dial, used by the company as its logo from 1986 to 1990. Interestingly, this model can be found with two calibers: the present 6511 is based on an Omega ébauche with calendar module by Frederic Piguet. Caliber 6511 is very rare, as it was soon replaced by a full Frederic Piguet movement, caliber 6595.
