The Carrera 1 Datos were first produced in 1962. The first reference was the 2547S. The present example is the second iteration of the 2547S, distinguished by its slimmer lugs and snap-back case. Interestingly enough, this watch does not have "Carrera" written anywhere on the dial. The name comes from the Heuer catalogs at the time that referred to the watch as the Carrera 12 Dato. Additionally, this watch features the days and months in German.
