Lot Essay

The reference 592 was produced from 1938 through 1945 in yellow gold, pink gold, and stainless steel, and no more than 400 examples of this reference were produced in total. The majority had the caliber 12 120, and it is estimated that around 50 examples were made with the caliber 12 SCi, with sweep center seconds. The present example is the former with subsidiary seconds. Vintage Calatravas like this watch offer a great value and would be suitable on the wrist of a man or woman.
