Lot Essay
Patek Philippe replaced the first Ellipse model (ref. 3548) with the reference 3748 in 1976. It was in production until 1994. Patek made many different variations of this model over the years. The present example is quite interesting because it has a two-tone blue dial, which is confirmed on the extract. Furthermore this watch comes with the original certificate, Patek wallet and 18k buckle, and original invoice from 1979. In 1979, the original owner paid 2,410 Swiss Francs. Due to the size, this watch would be suitable for a man or woman's wrist today.
