The Rolex Explorer II debuted in 1971. This watch was meant for explorers, specifically speleologists who needed a tool to help them distinguish between day and night when they are in a cave and have no concept of light or dark. This model is discontinued and features a beautiful white dial with black surrounding the luminous material in the hands and on the dial, giving great contrast. The Explorer II ref. 16570 is a great choice for everyday wear.
