Lot Essay

Zenith introduced the El Primero movement in 1969 and it was one of the first automatic chronograph movements. This “Rainbow” Flyback houses the legendary movement, which is considered to be a very robust and accurate movement. This model is called the “Rainbow” because of the colorful minute register, central seconds hands, and bezel. These colors are meant to make the watch easy to read in low-light situations like in a cockpit.
