Lot Essay

Former interior decorator and designer Alain Silberstein established his watchmaking company in Besançon, France in 1990. Since then, they produced some of the most eclectic timepieces in the modern watchmaking panorama. Inspired by the Bauhaus current, these creations are easily recognizable by the clean case lines and unconventional incorporation of colored geometric shapes. In this instance, the crown is a green triangle, and the hands are bright green and yellow, in the shapes of a curved line for the chronographic seconds, a triangle for the hours, and a more conservative baton for the minutes.
