Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Omega, the present watch was originally invoiced on 27 February 1945 in Switzerland.

Preserved in absolutely outstanding, practically new-old-stock condition, both of case and dial, this timepiece represents an interesting crossover of traits seemingly belonging to opposite typologies of watches. The highly readable, black matte dial and the waterproof case with screw back usually denote an intended technical destination of the timepiece (such as a diver’s or pilot’s watch); the conservative size is instead typical of dress watches.
