Lot Essay
In production only between 1943 and 1950, this model is a very elegant and charming vintage Patek Philippe creation, furthermore sporting a large-for-the-time 36 mm. case. It is quite rare to find models from the first half of the past century exceeding 35 mm. in diameter, as fashion at the time was oriented toward smaller sizes.
The present piece is offered in absolutely original condition; the intense champagne patina present on the dial is both certification of its unrestored nature, and also a remarkable boost to the attractiveness and vintage vibe of this distinguished timepiece.

The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, a service is however recommended given the age of the watch. The dial is nice, clean and original. Devoid of any sign of restoration, it might only have been gently cleaned a long time ago. An intense champagne patina has developed with age. The case is in very good condition, with minor signs of polishing. The lugs are still full, their proportions well preserved, and the third facet well distinguishable. The case back in good condition with extremely minor surface scratches. Overall a very well preserved and honest timepiece.
