Lot Essay
This timepiece can be considered one of the earliest examples of a style which makes its appearance in the fifties and will define the sixties and partially the seventies as well. It is characterized by minimalist, highly readable dials often devoid of scales (in this instance, for example, the outer scale typically found in watches from the 1930s and 1940s has been replaced by beady minute divisions), and cases defined by angular and clean lines, as can be seen in the faceted lugs of this specimen.
