The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, a service is however recommended given the age of the watch. The dial is nice, clean and original. It is extremely well preserved, with a subtle patina as expected from an original, unrestored dial of nearly 90 years of age. A minor scratch at 9 o’ clock of the main subsidiary dial is present. The case is preserved in impressive condition, with very minor signs of wear. The inside of the band is stamped 237. The case back is engraved “das H. Valentine”. The engraving is very well preserved and might be more recent than the watch. The case and reference numbers are present, as are the “Modele depose” stamp. The Rolex crown is present as well although slightly faded. Overall a very well preserved and honest timepiece.
The strap depicted in the pictures is for illustration purpose only. A new leather strap will be delivered with the piece.
