Lot Essay
Patek Philippe introduced the reference 3960 in 1989 to commemorate the firm's 150 anniversary. This reference was produced in a limited edition of 2200 pieces and of those pieces, 2000 were cased in yellow gold. The design for this model was influenced by wristwatches of the 20 century with rounded cases and bezels. This watch also features an officers style case back and when opened it reveals the 150 anniversary engraving and movement number.
