Nicholas's Pick
Vincent Calabrese is one of the major pillars of the independent watchmaking community, not only as an artisan but also as one of the founders of AHCI the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants. Founded in 1985, the organisation exists to foster the growth of new independent watchmakers and counts many of the most important names among its ranks such as François-Paul Journe, Vianney Halter and Kari Voutilainen. The wandering hour mechanism featured in the Ottica has been used in watches for centuries but is featured here in a modern interpretation with a beautiful pink gold case, and represents a great opportunity to own a work by one of the great independents.
