The case is in good condition with light scratches throughout and has developed a light patina. The case is in the form of a book and has a front cover that opens to reveal the entire dial. The case back is in good condition with light scratches throughout. The inside edge of the back of the lug at 1 o'clock has few small nicks. The inside case has some light scratches along its 3 o'clock edge. The dial and hands are in excellent condition and appear to be original. The buckle is in good condition with light signs of wear and a light patina. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
