Lot Essay
The OMEGA Speedmaster ref. 145.012 is the last example of the model to use the celebrated caliber 321. It is also the most commonly produced, with nearly 30,000 examples made over roughly a two year span. However, to find one offered with its original box and papers, or a 'full kit', is extremely rare and special. That is exactly what this lot offers to the lucky winner. The watch is in superbly honest condition with all of its original parts. It is safe to assume that this watch was treasured by its original owner over many years, keeping good care of it and all that it came with when purchased. The lot even includes a retail hangtag that notes the enviable price of $185 in the late 60s.
145.012s are becoming increasingly sought after and to find one in complete and original condition like this is an opportunity that should not be squandered.
