The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition and has been refinished. There is a small nick to the end of the lug at 7 o'clock. The numbers are visible between the lugs. The back of the lugs lightly show evidence of the bracelet. The case back is in good condition with light signs of wear and has been refinished. The inside of the case back is stamped '6536/1' and 'III.57' indicating its production in the third quarter of 1957. There are also watchmaker's marks to the inside case back. The bezel is a later replacement and has faded to a light black color. The lume in the dial and hands has been painted and is not original. The dial and hands are non-luminous. There are some small scratches in the hour plots. The dial is in overall good condition and is refinished. The hands are as well with some light scratches. The buckle is a later steel Rolex buckle. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
