The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with signs of wear, commensurate with its age, is full, and has been very lightly polished. The numbers are mostly visible between the lugs, but there is some pitting. The back of the lugs show signs of wear, especially the back of the lug at 11 o'clock with a large scratch. The back of the lug at 5 o'clock has '18' stamped to it and so does the inside case back. The case back is in good condition with scratches and has the name 'Barker' hand-etched to it. The inside of the case back is stamped '6202' and 'I.54' indicating its production in the first quarter of 1954. The crown was recently replaced, but the lot comes with the original. The bezel insert is correct with some signs of wear and has been polished. The dial and hands are in good condition and original. The lume in the 6 o'clock hour marker is lighter, but original. The edges of all the lume plots and in the hands has darkened. The lume in the seconds hand is completely lost. The hands have developed patina. The watch was recently serviced. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy.
