Lot Essay

The Rolex Day-Date was introduced in 1956 and is still in production. It was the first wristwatch to display the day and date written out in a window on the dial. This watch features a President bracelet with regular clasp stamped, "4 59" indicating it is from the fourth quarter of 1959. This watch is from circa 1972 however it has an earlier bracelet that has the old style clasp.
