Lot Essay
Jaquet Droz was founded in 1721 and was in business until 1788. In 2000 the brand was acquired by the Swatch Group and began making watches again. Jaquet Droz is known for making interesting and complicated timepieces. Jaquet Droz released the Grande Seconde Quantieme in 2011. This model tells the time and date in an unconventional way. The time is in a subsidiary dial at the top of the dial while the seconds and date share the subsidiary dial towards the bottom of the dial. This is a great watch if you appreciate craftsmanship, modern-sized cases, and classic watch design with an unusual twist.
