The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case and bracelet with signs of wear throughout, light scratches but the decorative engraving in the band is clear. The bracelet with stretch, the links are meant to expand. The case is not stamped with a gold number or hallmark, the inside case back is stamped “Rolex” and has several scratched in numbers, there is a spot of oxidation on the inside case back. The case back is engraved “Wilfred McKillop, Dauphin Man”, and it is visible but rubbed. The dial may have been reprinted, and has spotting and dirt throughout. The movement is not in working order at the time of cataloguing. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
The condition of the Rolex case back openers is consistent with their age, the iron has some oxidation but no scratches or dents and the ribbing for the case backs is crisp.
