John's Pick
Patek Philippe introduced the reference 96 in 1932 and it was in production until circa 1973. This particular example falls in the second series of production. This model marked the earliest years of numbered referenced watches for Patek Philippe. The reference 96 came in many variations throughout its production, spanning over 40 years. This particular example is cased in yellow gold and features a highly-desirable black dial that is confirmed on the extract from the archives. With a 31mm case size, the reference 96 would be suitable for the modern wrist of a man or lady.
