The case is in good condition with few light scratches. The case was polished by Patek Philippe. The case back shows signs of being opened around the edges and has one slight dent. The 1 and 11 o'clock lugs have slightly more polishing to the edge of the lugs than the other two. The case back retains the Patek Philippe service sticker. The case back is engraved, “Mario P. Nigra July 30th 1952.” The dial has been cleaned and refinished by Patek Philippe. The day and month disks have light smudging on them. According to the accompanying service papers from Patek Philippe, the Henry Stern Agency the watch was cleaned, over hauled with replacement crystal, crown, hour, minute and seconds hand. Patek Philippe repaired the center wheel, third wheel and second wheel. Patek Philippe also restored the dial and polished the case. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
