Jean-Paul Gueit designed some sensational 'Esclave' or 'cuff watches' during the 60's and 70's for Piaget. Thanks to the tiny 9P mechanism that was made available to him, he was at liberty to design spectacular jewelry watches with less focus on the watch itself but more on the overall impact of the design . This coincided perfectly with the fashionable use of semi-precious colorful stone dials with intricately woven mesh-link bracelets for the adoring fashion scene.
