Lot Essay

The reference 6263 was introduced into the market in the early 1970s and was available in stainless steel, 14K and 18K gold. The model was fitted with the " Oyster" or "screw down" chronograph buttons and a bezel with black plastic insert, the tachymetre scale printed in white. The sub-dials on this particular watch have turned brown. The sub-dials all are slightly different shades of brown, adding to the uniqueness of this watch. “Tropical” dials are highly sought after these days, especially in Daytona models. This watch comes from the family of the original owner.
