Lot Essay
This Universal Genève Uni-Compax features a beautiful pink gold case with silvered dial and pink gold dauphine hands. This watch features a tachymeter scale in blue and a telemeter scale in green on the edge of the dial. Vintage Universal Genève chronographs like the present example are becoming more sought after by collectors and this is a good opportunity to own a nice pink gold one.

The case is in good condition with scratches. The case appears to have been lightly polished. The hallmarks on the case back, 9 o'clock side of the case, and side of the 5 o'clock lug are visible. The chronograph pushers show signs of wear. The dial and hands appear to be original. The dial has developed patina throughout. The hands have light surface scratches. The subsidiary register at 3 o'clock has a spot on it. The crown has more of a yellowish appearance and is possibly a replacement. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
