John's Pick
This Audemars Piguet features an applied Arabic 12 on the dial and pyramidal indexes which are only found on the very best Audemars Piguet watches from this period. The case on this watch is known as "shape 255" which is one of the rarest Audemars Piguet models of the mid-20th century. The chronograph pushers are olive shaped and are referred to as "navette" by Audemars Piguet and were a common feature in Audemars Piguet chronographs of the 1930 and 1940s.

According to the Register at Audemars Piguet the present watch was manufactured in 1943 and sold to Roehrich in 1946. The Arabic 12 on the dial is confirmed by the Register.
