The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case shows normal signs of wear, commensurate with its age and has been polished. The 9 o'clock side of the case has few small nicks. The numbers are visible between the lugs. The back of the lugs have scratches from the spring bars and evidence of the bracelet. The hallmark to the back of the lug at 1 o'clock is visible, but not crisp. The case back has been polished and has few shallow indentations. The inside case back is stamped '1803' and has watchmaker's marks. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The dial has a light patina and the lume plots at the hour markers are all intact and have darkened with age. The plots at 1, 2, and 6 have very lightly deteriorated. The hour markers and hands have developed a light patina. The lume in the hands has darkened with age. The day wheel appears to be a replacement. The crystal at 10 o'clock has a chip. The day and date change as the hands pass midnight. The crown is tight to wind. A service is required to fix this. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy.
