The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in very good condition with some light signs of wear and has been lightly polished. There are two small nicks to the edge of the lug at 7 o'clock. The numbers are crisp between the lugs. The back of the lugs have light scratches from the spring bars. The case back is in good condition with light signs of wear. The inside of the case back is stamped '1601' and 'II.69.' The bezel is in good condition with a light patina. The dial is in good condition, slightly dirtied, and appears to have been reprinted. The plot at 5 o'clock is deteriorated. The hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The lume in them has black spots. There is a loose piece of material to the inside of the crystal. The end links are marked '55' and the clasp '2, 70.' The bracelet has stretch, shows signs of wear, and there is a scuff to the clasp. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
