The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The watch is in good condition with signs of wear throughout commensurate with its age, has a patina, and a hidden hinge. The hallmark is visible to the base of the crown. There is an engraving to the case back that has initials that appear to be, “CCA.” The inside case back has scratches and watchmaker’s marks, but is in good condition. The inside dust cover has watchmaker’s marks. The case and movement are signed “Made for Tiffany & Co. by Patek Philippe & Co.” The dial is honest with some signs of age and wear, appears to be orignal, and is signed ‘Tiffany & Co.’ There are some black marks to the dial. The hands have some loss of their blued part and show signs of age. The minute repeater is working at the time of cataloguing, but is a bit slow. A service is required to fix this. The Extract from the Archives states that the original Patek Philippe case was replaced by the current Tiffany case. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
