Lot Essay

The present Breguet Type XX is an example of a Generation I civilian market chronograph. Breguet started producing models for the civilian market at the same time it was working on the military version, and sold approximately 2000 examples between 1953 and 1970. Civilian models came in a variety of dial and bezel configurations, with the present example featuring three registers and 0-12 bezel.
