Lot Essay
Breguet's Type XXI retour en vol model was launched in 2004 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the firm's celebrated Type XX pilot chronograph. Ref. 3810 introduces two new features, a central minutes counter and a 24-hour hand. The chronograph retains the retour-en-vol feature, which enables a pilot to reset to zero and instantly restart his chronograph by pressing one button instead of two.

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition, with very light scratches. The engraved numbers on the case back are crisp. The dial and hands appear to be original and in excellent condition. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloguing, consistent with the age of the watch. The date changes when the hands pass midnight, the quickset date function is working. The chronograph and minute recorder are working and reset to 12. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
