Lot Essay
The reference 5035 debuted in 1996 and was made until 2005. This was the first watch in the world to have an annual calendar, which means it alternates between 30 and 31 days per month and only needs to be corrected at the beginning of March each year. This particular example is cased in platinum with a striking black dial, which is one of the most sought after combinations.

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case has scratches throughout and shows signs of wear. The side of the case at 1 o'clock has many scratches. The hallmarks on the side of the case at 9 o'clock and on the back of the 5 and 7 o'clock lugs are crisp. The dial and hands appear to be original and in good condition. The luminous material in the hands and on the dial are matching in color. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
