Lot Essay
John's Pick Patek Philippe launched the reference 3579 in 1969 and it was only in production for five years. This reference was only made in stainless steel with two dial variants, matte silvered or blue, like the present example. These watches feature the extra flat 23-300 movement and two piece tonneau shaped cases with screw down case backs. The present watch is believed to be one of less than 15 examples of the version with the blue dial to have appeared in public to date. This watch comes with its original certificate of origin which is not very common for vintage watches. This is a good opportunity to get a rare stainless Patek with original certificate.
