Rolex introduced the Submariner in 1953 and for the 50th Anniversary Rolex came out with the reference 1160LV to celebrate. The 50th Anniversary debuted in 2003 and was in production until circa 2010. The anniversary model has a green bezel insert and “Maxi” dial; which means the hour markers are larger than the hour markers on the regular Submariner of this time period. The 50th Anniversary Submariner is in demand by collectors and this is a good opportunity to get one complete with box and papers.
