Lot Essay

OMEGA introduced the reference 105.012 in 1964 and it was the first Speedmaster to have the updated case shape that protected the pushers. This reference was also the first to have the name "Professional" written on the dial. The present example has its original "Dot Over 90" bezel which is highly sought after by collectors. The movement is stamped, "OXG" which is the United States import code for OMEGA. The Speedmaster remains one of the most iconic chronographs and this is a good opportunity to own one with the legendary caliber 321 movement that went to the moon.

According to the Archives of OMEGA, the present watch was manufactured on May 6, 1966 and delivered to the United States of America.
