The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition and shows normal signs of wear with light scratches. The case has developed a light patina. The outside of the lugs at 1 and 5 o'clock have small dings - the one at 5 o'clock is larger and circular. The side of the case at 9 o'clock has a small ding as well. The case back has scratches and nicks and shows signs of being opened. The case and reference number are visible and in good condition. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The pusher at 2 o'clock appears to have been lightly polished. The crown appears to be a later replacement. The crystal has a light abrasion near 2 o'clock. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The dial has developed an even patina throughout and shows signs of age with some loss of printing, discoloration, and peeling around the outer edge. There is some fine cracking of the dial beneath the base of the hands. The hands have developed patina. The chronograph is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
