Lot Essay

Rolex launched the GMT-Master in 1954 in order to provide pilots a watch that could read 24 hour time for a selected time zone. Following the success of this model, in 1959 Rolex introduced its successor, the reference 1675, which Rolex produced until 1980. This example features a beautifully faded bezel that has turned light blue and fuchsia color giving some uniqueness to this GMT. These GMT's with color changing bezels are becoming highly sought after by collectors.
