The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with light scratches throughout. The case appears to have been lightly polished. The numbers are visible between the lugs. The crown is a later replacement. The back of the lugs show evidence of the bracelet. The case back shows evidence of being opened. The inside of the case back is marked "5513" and "I.65" indicating its production in the first quarter of 1965. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel insert has faded to a grey color. The crystal has scratches. The dial and hands appear to be original. The dial appears to have bubbled and popped in those places leaving spotting. The luminous material at the hour plots has all darkened with age. The plot at 4 o'clock has a black mark in it. The hands appear to be re-colored to match the hour plots and do not glow. The hands have developed patina. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
