The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear, commensurate with its age and has developed a light patina. There is a dent to the side of the case near 5 o'clock and some smaller near 6. The case back has light scratches throughout and few small indentations. It is thin and has give when pressed. The inside of the case back has a rubbed hallmark, few scratches and hand engraved numbers. The dust cover has a crisp engraving. The numbers are slightly rubbed to the inside of the dust cover. The inside of the hunter case has slightly rubbed numbers. The dial and hands are in good condition with signs of age and appear to be original. There are small porous holes in the dial and there is a hairline crack running from 1 o'clock to the 3 o'clock sub-register. There is damage to the moon phase wheel. The months and days are displayed in German. The quick-set functions work and the date changes as the hands pass midnight. The sound of the repeater is crisp and clear and is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
