Lot Essay
The Orbiter 3 commemorates Bertrand Piccards and Brian Jones world record setting non-stop ballon flight around the world in 19 days, 21 hours and 55 minutes. Their ballon was named the Orbiter 3. Breitling issued 1999 watches in Titanium, 20 in 18k yellow gold and 20 in 18k white gold.

The present wristwatch is offered in overall excellent condition. The case is in excellent condition with minor signs of wear, light surface scratches on right-hand side band. The case back is in excellent condition, all engravings are deep and clear. The Bretling Bracelet and deployant clasp with signs of wear and light surface scratches. The present lot is accompanied with a plastic Breitling carrying case with Breitling commemorative plaque of First Non-Stop Flight Around the World March 1999 and the letter B made from a piece of mylar that came from the envelope of the Orbiter 3, instructions pamphlet, test receiver, cross-head screwdriver, presentation video and additional bracelet link. The watch requires a new battery from Breitling. A service is required for this from Breitling. It is not running at the time of cataloguing.
