Lot Essay

This Cartier Tank is unusual because it is cased in sterling silver. From 1974 of the Must de Cartier era, silver tanks were popular, but they were mostly gold plated. This watch pre-dates that era and is thought to have been produced by Cartier to test the market. For that reason, this is a rare opportunity to own a silver Tank.
