The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with signs of wear commensurate with the age of the watch. The case has been polished and the tip of the lug at 5 o'clock has been chewed. The case back is in good condition with normal signs of wear and some signs of being opened, and has been lightly polished. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bottom pusher appears to be a replacement. The crown is correct. The bezel is correct, has faded with age and shows signs of wear. The dial is in good condition with some signs of age and appears to be original. The dial has developed a light patina and the luminous markers have completely darkened with age. There is a small area around the 3 o'clock hour marker that seems to be indicative of some moisture damage. It appears that some luminous material is spread between the 8 and 9 o'clock hour markers. The hour and minute hand show signs of age and are aftermarket replacements. The luminous material has completely darkened in both and some is lost in the hour hand. The chronograph hand is correct, but appears to have been relumed. The hands have developed patina. The chronograph is only functional through the top pusher and is working as a flyback chronograph at the time of cataloguing. The bottom pusher is non-functional. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
