According to the Archives of OMEGA SA, the present watch was produced on 16 October 1964 and delivered to Neatherland.

In 1952, Omega launched the Constellation family, symbolized by the Geneva Observatory, where Omega had just beat their own record for precision a year earlier, in 1951. The symbol of this collection is the dome of the Geneva observatory surrounded by eight starts. The stars represent Omegas greatest chronometric achievements. The symbol of the observatory and stars is present on the back of this watch.
