OMEGA was inspired by James Bond's rank and regalia and created the "Commander's Watch." This limited edition features some unique characteristics like the 007 gun logo counter weight on the central seconds hand and the number 7 in the date window is colored red, while the other numbers are blue. OMEGA made 7,007 pieces in stainless steel and the watch being auctioned is number 007. The watch is accompanied by a special presentation case (designed after a military medal case), naval style pin, stainless steel bracelet, strap changing tool as well as a reproduction naval uniform to the same specification that Sean Connery wore in, "You Only Live Twice." This year marks the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film, "You Only Live Twice," staring Sean Connery.

Oscar® winning costume designer Lindy Hemming supervised the reproduction of James Bond’s two piece naval uniform including Commander’s peak cap. It was tailored by Academy Costumes in London to Sean Connery’s measurements. Connery portraying James Bond is seen wearing a naval uniform for the first and only time in You Only Live Twice, 1967. The inside label has been signed in gold pen by Bond Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

Proceeds from the sale of this timepiece will go to UNICEF, the United Nations Mine Action Service, and a number of charitable organizations.
