Lot Essay

The reference 1582 was launched in 1944 and was in production until approximately 1949. This model is known for its fancy notched lugs. The cases for this reference were made by Eggly and the dials were made by Stern Frères. The dials on this reference feature applied gold hour markers and Arabic numerals, double circle chapter ring, and an engine turned subsidiary seconds dial. The present example is cased in pink gold making it very rare as majority of the reference 1582 watches were made in yellow gold. The pink gold case with pink dial give this watch an extremely handsome aesthetic.
