The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Upon first glance it is not immediately apparent that the case is in fact yellow gold, given its lovely dark patina which spreads like a veil over the bezel. Only possible by being very occasionally worn and impeccably preserved. The case back with signs of wear and light surface scratches. The edge of the case back is slightly oxidized. The dial is signed “Patek Philippe & Co” and has developed a beautiful dark patina. The luminous hands have been replaced. The luminous material reacts to the UV light. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
