Reference 96 is a landmark model in the history of Patek Philippe. It is the first model of the “Stern Era”, launched in 1932, the same year the Stern family acquired the company, and it is also the first model bearing a reference number.
Furthermore, this reference is considered the archetype for the vintage “Calatrava” style, distinguished by the flowing lines of the case and subtle downturned lugs. This style, which remained in use for decades.
The present example is offered in stainless steel, the most appealing case material for vintage Patek Philippe watches.
