The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in very good condition and is full. The watch shows signs of wear with light scratches and some small nicks. The numbers are crisp between the lugs. The hallmarks are crisp to the back of the lugs and the backs of the lugs have scratches from the spring bars. The case back is in very good condition with light scratches throughout and a crisp French hallmark stamp to its middle. The inside of the case back is stamped '1503'. The bezel and crown are in good condition and original. There is a small nick to the bezel near 12 o'clock. The dial is in honest condition and appears to be original. The lume plots are all present at the hour markers and have darkened with age. The dial has wear around its edges, hour markers, base of the hands, date aperture, and coronet. These areas show a gold color coming through from underneath the lavender-colored dial. The hands appear to be possibly later replacements and the luminous color in them is slightly more yellow than at the hour markers. The crystal has some light scratches. The bracelet is in good condition with light scratches and little stretch. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
