The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case has been lightly polished throughout and shows normal signs of use and has a light patina. The lug at 1 o'clock has few small nicks to it. The numbers between the lugs are visible, but faint. The hallmark to the back of the lug at 1 o'clock is visible, but slightly rubbed. The back of the lugs have small scratches and between the lugs show evidence of the bracelet. The case back has been lightly polished and has light scratches. The inside of the case back is stamped '1803' and has watchmaker's marks. The crown is original. The bezel has been lightly polished. The crystal has scratches. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The lume plots at the hour markers are all present and have aged to a slightly darker yellow color, matching the hands. The hands and hour markers have developed a light patina. The dial shows light signs of dark wear around its very outer edge. The movement is stamped 'ROW' indicating its importation to the U.S. The day and date change as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
