The case has small nicks and scratches. The case and lugs have been lightly polished. The numbers are visible between the lugs and there is pitting between the 12 o'clock lugs. The back of the lugs have scratches and show evidence of the bracelet. The case back has scratches and small nicks. The inside of the case back is stamped '1601' and 'I.63,' indicating its production in the first quarter of 1963. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The dial has developed a light patina in its lower portion. Around the 6 o'clock hour marker, it appears that the black paint was smudged. The luminous plots at the hour markers are all intact, but partially deteriorated. The hour markers have light scratches. They have darkened with age. The hands appear to be later replacements. The hands have developed patina. The end links are marked '55' and the bracelet '2, 63' indicating its production in the second quarter of 1963. The bracelet has scratches throughout, has stretch, and has been polished. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
